I shopped with them after christmas, in their sales period. I needed a few items to give as a anniverary present to my grandparents. They had a bin and matching coasters with over 50% off. Never one to miss a bargain I bought both for twenty quid in total. There was even free delivery thrown in as well. The delivery service was great, they emailed me this message when they sent the items

'Your recent John Lewis Direct order is on its way and will be delivered by Royal Mail within the next few days. If there is no one at the nominated delivery address to receive your parcel and it is too big to fit through the letterbox, it will be redirected to your local Royal Mail delivery office for collection. Royal Mail will drop a note through the door to advise if this is the case.'

Quite a few online merchants never emailed me to notify that the items were sent, amazon do, but they are another great online retailer. I cant actually find the exact product name for the items, but they came in a stitched black and white pattern, and were edged in a black leather. The coasters came in a nice box, in the same stitching. Overall the service was superb, and items top quality, I'll shop again when I'm after a gift.
