Poor delivery time, terrible and dishonest customer service sent the following message. Order took nearly 4 weeks to arrive despite an email saying it was detached the day after I ordered it. No replies to any emails or phone messages until I raised a dispute with PayPal, then they kept telling me they had chased Royal Mail I would have it in two days. When it eventually arrived it was in a box which still had their supplier's label on - showing that DataKits had only received it 2 days before I got it.

The whole operation is a con. No problem with ordering or delivery. However the bluetooth headset I received is dead to the world and sits there like a prop from Star Trek. Absolutely no joy e-mailing them, might as well e-mail the cat. I'll have to get onto to Visa and see what they say.

THIEVES! Hey off ice of fair trading, can you hears us? Close this site down! I bought a replacement Nokia keypad, same experience as everyone else...the goods never showed up. They promise to respond within 48 hours, but they don't respond at all. All you ever get is an answering machine and they never answer any emails. Luckily my bank agreed to credit me back under the debit card protection scheme.

Same story........... I ordered ipod speakers with radio and alarm clock mid November, received email the following day saying that it had been dispatched by recorded/special delivery and to contact them in 5 days if undelivered. The payment was deducted from my account the following day. No goods yet - numerous emails and phone calls later still no response and no goods. Will be taking further action and passing hte information to Watchdog

ditto - christmas present that never arrived, no answer to emails, now putting the matter in the hands of the credit card company and trading standards who must be sick of hearing about this company, cant understand why they werent struck off when action was taken earlier this year. I see from their website that they advertise the fact that they bank with HSBC - I wonder if they are aware of the kind of company they are dealing with - they will soon.

Placed order on 10/12/2007, and payment was taken from my card same day. Had email to say goods were despatched on 13th Dec and would arrive in 5 days. When they didn't arrive (suprise) I emailed asking for parcel tracking numbers so I could chase order. Guess what? several emails ignored and telephone messages ignored too. Nothing ever arrived. Sent them a letter demanding a refund within 7 days or I would take further action. On about day 4, I received a response!. Not to the letter, but to one of the many emails I had already sent requesting a refund. Do not buy from this Company, although if you are on this page already you unfortunately probably already have. How they sleep at night, I'll never know. Also worth mentioning that I found them on Kelkoo. How can they still be listed as they are so obviously shit? Kelkoo do not answer my question to them re this either. I smell a Rat!!

I opened a complaint a then upped the complaint, can't remember what they called it, but they gave me a refund.

What these people obviously do is see if you'll complain, if you do, adsense makes them refund, if not, they keep your money.

I think paypal should record complaints and ban shops that constantly get them.

So anyway, if you open a complaint with paypal it's likely you'll get your money back. I'm now trying to report them to someone to have them taken down forever.

Same story, order placed 08.12.07 and account debited, still waiting! despite numerous emails etc. They blamed Parcelforce and gave a tracking number which as yet, funnily enough, parcelforce have been unable to trace. Datakits are no longer replying to any emails!

I ordered goods 5th January 2008, datakits debited my credit card immediately and the goods have remained undelivered till today,16th june 2008. They have been ignoring my emails and the only no. to call is an answerfone . I can't understand why google checkout is still allowing this company to use their name despite several bad reviews that I just discovered today; I wish I had discovered these before I ordered. I trusted the google name and I would not have ordered through them if I had not seen google checkout on the website and google is still allowing datakits to 'suck' in other innocent buyers. Disappointing! My next move is reporting to Trading Standards and Watchdog. I hope other people do as well.

Order goods from them with a promised arrival date long gone. If you send an email with the order number in the subject (as advised) you get an automated response saying they are sorry you didnt get the order but will look into it. They dont. Have contacted my credit card company. Crooks.

Yup me too, story as above...

Going to try trading standards and credit card company first. Have also emailed Google to ask them to stop datakits advertising via them.

Some more contact thoughts for those reading this with their blood boiling:
1) Anywhere else you can find that they advertise, online portals, magazines etc
2) Revenue and Customs
a) Full VAT investigation
b) Possible sse of illegal immigrants
c) Possible use of benefit fraudsters
3) Datakits bank and/or credit card processing company
4) The owner of their trading premises
5) Royal Mail (assuming they actually have an account!)

If everyone who they rip off invests a little time making life difficult for them, then their life should rapidly become very, very difficult. Go on, join the "put Datakits out of business" club!

Absolute bunch of sharks who should have been shut down long ago. Why aren't the authorities acting on all the information now flying around customer review sites. I have contacted DATAKITs numerous times and received the square root of naf all. I have contacted my creit card company and also Portsmouth trading standards-awaiting a reply. How about all of us getting together and descending on their unit for a face to face "chat" with the waster who runs it?

We didn`t receive our order, and after 2 weeks of no replies we visited them !
Their address is as above, we were able to pick up the order - different colour but result !! They have since emailed to offer a refund of postage - we`ll see if that happens !! But if you live local to them like us that is the best way - the reception there said best to visit on a Mon, Weds or Friday as they seem to be there alternate days. If not possible then write to the owners of the unit they rent - Portsmouth county council - and complain as they seem oblivious to the amount of complaints they generate !! When my husband was there there was a delivery driver who was going to unload and then thump the owner - as they had turned up to deliver a few times as arranged and no one was there to take the delivery. He said they would honour their arrangement to supply - but was not happy !! If they have to move it wont stop them trading, but will cost them to do so.

Got to agree with you all. I ordered a replacement screen for my mobile over 3 weeks ago and still nothing. Tried contacting them by emails only to get a reply saying "stop sending multiple emails we will respond to your original email within 48hrs". If they did respond then I would not have to continuously send the same damn email. Left messages on their voicemail and still nothing. Wished I'd found reviews of this site before buying. I can't understand why this company is still around. Admittedly my original order was fulfilled OK, but had a fault and was returned - have I seen it again? No! Have I been offered a refund? No! Just the usual fobbing off emails - "customer not received, resend". Ri-ight! Trading Standards have told me they will be after them as they are trading outside the Companies Act by not including proper details on their web site. Why doesn't someone shut these jokers down??

ordered a blue tooth headset on the 1st march 2009, they said it was dispatched soon after. never arrived. 34 emails and 13 calls to automated lines and replies later and still no headset or refund. Drove down to Portsmouth and went to the address. Datakits was a room in a converted factory. one Very polite lady in there who was just packing orders. the place was a complete tip. she got the boss on the phone who had no answers other than personal problems. after asking for my money back or goods to the value of, my account was refunded immediately.

They should be shut down immediately-before they con more unsuspecting customers. Fortunately my item was only valued at around £17 and paid for on my credit card-so have now contacted my card company too. Surely card companies must have a hit list of companies that are not trading honestly-they should then refuse to put payment through?

Take legal action and report the matter to the Police and trading standards.

I have today finaly recieved an email from mike@datakits.co.uk. He has given the same excuse as he has to everyone else - he is unable to track my order through royal mail.

I have now requested a full refund, but no doubt that email will not be answered.

The court summons has now been issued by the County Court so we will wait and see what happens.

Alot more people should do it, but direct the summons to there buisness premises in somers road portsmouth rather than the PO Box which I believe does not exist.

From skimming this list these guys are clearly dodgy, but strangely I registered an account with datakits a month or so ago but didn't order anything - and the other day an iPod case was delivered to me without me ordering it! When I look at my account on their site it has been ordered by some other guy and shipped to me. And there's another transaction on the account where some other guy has had somthing else shipped to him.

Sounds like their admin system is fubar. Has anyone had this happen to them?

I ordered a data cable for my old mobile and this seemed the only place to buy it. Only £8.98 but it never arrived. I have phoned, only an answerphone, emailed repeatedly, and found the email address for one of the directors, all ignored.
I have phoned and emailed Paypal who find the whole thing a laugh!
Now I have contacted my credit card company who will chase the money for me.
It is not the money or missing goods, it is because I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF.

If you have paid on your Debit Card, you can go to your Bank and complete a 'Chargeback' form.

Your bank will chase these morons for your money, and should refund you. As this is classed as fraud.

I ordered a charging cradle for my Nokia N95 8GB on 9th Jan. On 13th Jan Ireceived the wrong item - it was a charging cradle for a Nokia phone, but not my model. I contacted them about it via email, and they responded quickly. I returned the item as per their instructions. Ididn't hear from them so I emaile d asking if they ahd sent out the correct item. I had no response. I phoned and left messages, but still nothing. I emailed again and eventually they responded sayin a member of tstaff had added a note to my order to send the correct goods asap. After more emails to them and 1 more repsonse from them saying the same as the last email, I still have not received the goods -it is now 11th March! I've been waiting 2 months. I have emailed again asking for a refund, I will have to wait for a response. Avoid Datakits - they don't care about you, they just want your money.
