Mrs. Elizabeth R****Said,
October 17, 2008
Order came on time. Better than JD Williams. Who, I have today received
a Christmas gift catalogue from you and am writing to complain about some
of the contents in the strongest possible terms. I am not a prude, and have
no objections in principle to your company selling sexy lingerie and adult
sex toys, but I feel very stongly that they should not be in a standard
catalogue, which may be seen by young childern or, even worse, slightly
older ones, who should not be exposed to adult material. Children love to
browse through catalogues, especially those which have lots of toys in them.
I feel that adult items should be offered in a catalogue which contains
nothing else so that parents can either recycle it immediately,as I will
do with this one, or keep it in a secure place away from little eyes. As
this catalogue is going straight to recycle, I will not be ordering from
it. Please do not send anything else of an explicit nature to me as I will
do the same with any such material in it. In any case my husband and I have
no need for any of your adult toys etc. I will be following this e-mail
up with a letter so suggest you pass on the views it contains to the powers
that be immediately. It seems strange that I had to wait 3 months for a
Jacomo catalogue, to receive 2 within a fortnight, but get a proliferation
of your main Jd Williams catalogue, hundreds of special offer booklets and
now this trashy unsolicited Christmas one. This all reinforces my belief
that in the last few months your service has become increasingly poor, as
I have said inrepeated telephone calls to yur customer services department.
I suggest if you want to stay in business in the current economic climate,
you get your act together and improve your business practice.
