n/a Said, Historically I believe Billy Butlin wanted to open a park in cleethorpes,
but was refused by the local power brokers, so moved down the cost to
Skegness. Most of the regulars are families from the east midlands and
south yorkshire. Because it's quite a trek to get too. Skegness itself
has plenty of seaside attractions alongside the Butlins park. But there
is so much to do over a weekend break, you may not find a reason to leave
the park. While their are attractions for all the family, it;s the kids
which are most handily catered for. With modern entertainment's like ten
pin bowling, and a laser shooting maze called quasers I believe. For kids
upto 13-14, they will love it. Over that, the Butlins complex may be a
little too family orientated to keep older teens content. The redcoats
do a fantastic job of keeping a bubbly and fun filled atmosphere going,
and as long as your prepared to enter into the spirit of things, you cannot
go far wrong with the cost and thrills on offer.
